ZagRos

About Me

ZagRos, born in Tehran, Iran, grew up in a family of artists. He discovered his unique voice through painting and photography, developing a passion for capturing authentic moments in a world increasingly dominated by social media. Influenced by the works of Eugene Smith and John Free, ZagRos's documentary and street photography focus on real-life experiences. His series on Tehran's metro commuters reveals the daily struggles of individuals facing inflation, sanctions, and societal pressures. In his project "Metro Hustlers of Tehran," ZagRos documents street vendors in the metro system. These vendors move from station to station, selling items like gum and toys, while respecting each other's territories. His photos highlight their resilience and determination. ZagRos's work extends beyond Iran. He has photographed talented musicians in Malaysia and the vibrant Thaipusam festival at Batu Caves. His ability to connect with diverse cultures adds depth to his portfolio and makes him a respected street photographer from Iran on the international stage. ZagRos Hp’s photography tells powerful stories through precise, clear details. His work captures the essence of everyday life, reflecting his dedication to the art of photography.
